Welcome

A place where children are heard, valued and supported.

Having a parent or loved one in prison can affect every part of a child’s life. Feelings of worry, anger, sadness, shame and uncertainty can be difficult to understand — and even harder to talk about.

The Aitken Project exists to make sure children and families affected by imprisonment do not have to face these challenges alone. We provide a safe, welcoming and supportive space where children can talk, build confidence, have fun and simply be themselves. Through one-to-one support, group work and activities, we aim to help children feel listened to, understood and valued.

Every child deserves to know that their story matters. If you are a child, young person, parent, carer or professional looking for support, we are here to help.

You are welcome here.

Partnerships

Together, we can make a bigger difference.
